A traditional family recipe based on honey and egg whites, sugar and toasted hazelnuts.
The hazelnuts of the Torrone Minetto have been cultivated with care and attention by the Minetto family for over 40 years.
First, they collect and select only the best ones, and then they shell and vacuum-seal them, in order to use them throughout the year for the preparation of nougat.
The honey used is strictly acacia: very fine and clear. It is the only one suitable because it is not bitter and it’s perfect for giving the typical opalescent color of the product.
Furthermore, honey gives the nougat an irreplaceable roundness: for this reason it will never be replaced by sugar.
The processing takes many hours, it starts around 7 in the morning and ends at 6 pm.
The cooking takes place by means of the cooker: a container in which a rotating blade mixes the mixture in a bain-marie, so that it never comes into excessive contact with the flame. The consequence would otherwise be a darker color of the nougat.
The forms are then covered with host, cut and packed with transparent film, heat-sealed and shrink-wrapped, as the nougat is susceptible to high temperatures and humidity.
The conservation takes place in a cold room at a temperature of 7 – 8 degrees.
No natural flavors or various additives are added, even if allowed.
Today, like the first time
From the early 1980s to today, the recipe for Torrone Minetto has remained unchanged, as have the processing methods.
An excellence of Langa, which wants to be made known in its authenticity and which will never be subject to change.
We’re sure you’ll love it: a crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth dessert that will make you feel like a child again.

The history of Torrone Minetto begins in 1980, but it’s only in 2019 that the daughter of the founder takes over the business. The Minetto family produces their nougat by hand (with a very long process, of up to eight hours), obtaining a quality that has made them famous throughout the world. Read more
