Fabrizio wanted to take an extra step to have a Roero with character.
It differs from the Roero DOCG Colla because it is aged one year longer and the wood used is a little more aggressive, perfect for favouring the preservation of the wine.
These characteristics enhance the qualities of nebbiolo and give, in addition to the typical fruit, balsamicity and hints of oriental spices.
Sight
It is garnet red.
Nose
Its perfume is intense and recalls undergrowth, violets and spices, including cinnamon.
Taste
Its good structure offers a crescendo of fruit sensations, such as blackberry and raspberry, up to the powerful and austere encounter of the tannins, which prolongs all the sensations in a persistent finish.
Pairing tips
It seems to be born for important and fatty red meats and cheeses. It also pleasantly satisfies on its own, as a meditation wine, while watching a film or reading a book.
It’s your guy if…
…You want to enjoy the best local food (a rich cheek or blue cheese) while sipping a suitable wine.
