The Barolo by Mauro Molino comes from three historic vineyards: two in La Morra, in the Berri and Annunziata MGAs, and one in Monforte d’Alba, in the Perno MGA.
The different origins of the grapes come through in the glass: La Morra brings fruit and aromaticity, while Monforte d’Alba adds structure and body.
The result? A Barolo with an elegant and classic character, expressing the most authentic side of Nebbiolo.
It is a wine that is pleasant to drink even when young, but you can also give it time: over the years, it evolves beautifully, while retaining its elegance and distinctive character.
Sight
Its colour is light garnet red.
Nose
The nose is intense, with notes of red fruit, rose petals and hints of white pepper.
Taste
On the palate, it is persistent, with soft and enveloping tannins.
Pairing tips
Pair it with roasts, braised meats and fillets, as well as dishes featuring mushrooms and aged cheeses.
Best avoided with: very light dishes and blue cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
It’s your guy if…
…You love wines with good structure, but don’t want to give up elegance and drinkability. This is a classic-style Barolo, approachable even when young and interesting to follow as it evolves over time.
