Danilo and Marika’s Dolcetto d’Alba DOC is a red made for the table: approachable, easy to enjoy and with that typical almond finish that makes Dolcetto so distinctive.
Made from 100% Dolcetto grapes, it is harvested by hand in early September. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete tanks, followed by aging in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and fruit character.
Sight
It is a bright, intense ruby red with violet reflections.
Nose
It is fruity and immediate, with notes of plum and small red berries.
Taste
It is fruity and elegant, with good body and Dolcetto’s characteristic almond finish.
Pairing tips
Bring it to the everyday table and it won’t be short of good company. Try it with cured meats, Fassona beef tartare, vitello tonnato, tajarin or ravioli del plin.
It also works well with white meats, a casual barbecue or cheese.
To avoid: braised meats and game cooked in wine, very spicy dishes and desserts.
It’s your guy if…
…You’re looking for a young, easy-going Dolcetto to open without too much ceremony over dinner with friends or at a good barbecue.
