Marco’s winery is located in Barbaresco, as are his vineyards.
He, like many producers, could have produced a Barbaresco DOCG, one of the area’s noblest wines, in his winery’s name, but he decided against it.
He tells us that his family has been linked to the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative since 1960 (just two years after its founding) and he, like his past generations, believes deeply in this project, which he will continue to support with passion.
Marco gives the entirety of his nebbiolo da Barbaresco grapes to the social winery, along with 53 other members. His, is a difficult and courageous choice, but above all a noble one.
The winemakers collaborate proudly with a common goal: to qualify Barbaresco and give prestige to a winery that is now one of the most renowned in the area.
It is no coincidence that Barbaresco DOCG Produttori del Barbaresco has won many awards over the years, recognizing itself as one of the best wines in the world.
Sight
Bright ruby red, tending to garnet.
Nose
You immediately feel it intense and persistent. The hints are those of berries and spices.
Taste
It is warm, balanced and well structured. The tannins are round and soft.
Pairing tips
Marco recommends two dishes that he loves: veal cheek cooked at a low temperature, to be on the safe side, but if you’re in the mood for daring, then you must try it with finanziera, a “poor” dish from the Piedmontese tradition.
It’s your guy if…
…Look for finesse and quality. It is a wine that knows how to surprise.

The Producer
Rusél
The labels produced represent the ideals of Rosselli men: well-being of the vineyard and enhancement of typicality rather than ease of drinking, leaving free expression to each grape variety. The winery is linked to the Barbaresco Producers association, to which it dedicates the entire production of the “Nebbiolo for Barbaresco” grapes. Read more
