Some grape varieties are a joy to grow, while others really test your patience. Nascetta manages to do both: it alternates generous harvests with years when it produces very little fruit, regardless of the weather.
That’s where the name Sagrin comes from: a wine Marco and Giovanni dedicate to a grape that’s as unpredictable as it is interesting.
The result is a food-friendly white wine, enjoyable to drink and with enough body to make its presence felt, without aiming for great complexity.
Sight
It has a pale golden-yellow color, bright, light and clear.
Nose
The aroma is delicate and elegant, without being particularly intense.
Taste
It’s pleasant and easy-drinking, with a lingering finish and an interesting body. A wine that focuses more on drinkability than complexity.
Pairing tips
Pair it with cold starters and pasta dishes.
To avoid: rich, saucy meat dishes such as roasts and stews.
It’s your guy if…
…You usually say that white wine isn’t your thing. Maybe you just haven’t found the right one yet.
