The history of this Barbera is truly unique.
Alessandro bought the vineyard in 2015, in Montersino: a small plot located right in the center of the company.
The old owner, Leonilde, told him that those vines had been planted in memory of the Liberation and that they were of inestimable value to her.
She asked him to keep the vineyard intact, as it was originally, and to write her name on the label. And so he did.
Thanks to Leonilde, you have the opportunity to appreciate an elegant and powerful wine, which tells a special story.
The color is bright ruby red, with full shades.
The sensations of ripe red fruits prevail. The scent is intense, with aromas that lead us back to blackberry and plum.
The taste is full. Delicately tannic.
We recommend pairing it with baked or roasted white meats, or with a vegetables / meat barbecue.
Since it has all the traits of a good structured Barbera, you can also play with other pairings, such as stewed meat, game, roasts and cheese.
It’s your guy if…
…You are looking for power and structure. It’s a wine that fills your mouth, but is still very elegant.
