The geographical mention Valmaggiore is the most famous cru in the commune of Vezza d’Alba.
This is the most important and vocated area for the production of nebbiolo on the left bank of the Tanaro.
An area of extreme slope, which forces the Demarie family to work the vineyard only by hand.
The wine obtained from this handkerchief of land is a Roero of rare finesse and elegance. Definitely worth a try.
Sight
It is deep garnet red with brick red highlights.
Nose
Its bouquet is ethereal and intense, with hints of violets, raspberries and blackberries, enriched by elegant spicy touches.
Taste
A nice surprise, a wine with great body, harmonious, warm and enveloping.
The aromas also offer pleasant sensations in the mouth, returning violets and red fruits, shaded with spicy fragrances of liquorice and cocoa.
Pairing tips
Pair it with braised meat or game. Don’t eat meat or don’t feel like cooking? Matured cheeses with great flavour will win you over.
Serving temperature: 18°C.
It’s your guy if…
…You love structured wines.
