Jolet is a fancy name derived from two French words that perfectly describe this wine: joie and violet.
Joie, like the sensation of joy that starts from the sight of its full color and arrives at the warm and complex taste.
Violet, like the violet notes that are immediately perceived on the nose.
Sight
It is ruby red.
Nose
Olfactory sensations are floral, with hints of rose and violet, fruity, and spicy.
Taste
The tannin, typical of the grape variety, is soft and marked. Warm tones given by the alcohol emerge, contrasted by acidity and savoriness.
Pairing tips
Yes to meat dishes, even very flavorful ones, such as braised meats or game.
If you prefer to avoid the hassle of cooking for hours, try it with aged cheeses, mushrooms, dishes seasoned with truffles, or a good boiled meat.
To avoid: barbeque.
It’s your guy if…
…If you seek fruity, yet full taste in wine.
