The Barolo DOCG comes from grapes from a half-hectare vineyard located in La Morra blended with the Barolo DOCG Comune of Serralunga d’Alba that Alessandro “sacrifices” and reclassifies to classic.
La Morra elegance and Serralunga austerity thus create a wine that matures slightly earlier than the other three geographical mentions produced and that he likes to call “the first approach to taste” that is, the easiest to drink and one that certainly knows how to surprise.
Sight
It is garnet red with orange hues.
Nose
The fragrance is intense, ethereal and pleasant.
Taste
You will feel it austere, but velvety, robust and harmonious. It is very elegant, with soft, sweet tannins.
Pairing tips
Alessandro suggests you try it with the bagna d’inferno, a real mix of flavors that Serralunga and La Morra fully embrace.
But mind you, this is a very old recipe and varies from family to family, so you will have to use a little flair in its preparation.
It’s your guy if…
…You’re so hungry and you want to go big on the wine you’re going to bring to the table.
