This wine is tempting.
Maria tells us that one of their Roman customers refers to this Nebbiolo as “the nice guy“. In fact, it is very round, the tannins are soft and it really pleases everyone, even those who do not like this appellation.
Following in the footsteps of “the nice guy“, Maria makes us smile by telling us that she imagines it as a good boy that parents like.
But the real name of this “boy” is Bastianetto and refers to the locality of Santo Stefano Roero where the vineyard is located (just inside the MGA Madonna delle Grazie).
Sight
Garnet red with orange hues.
Nose
It has an elegant fragrance reminiscent of rose and violet.
Taste
It is dry, full-bodied, velvety and harmonious, rightly persistent and tannic.
Pairing tips
Maria loves it with tajarin with sausage ragout, but any kind of egg pasta will do.
