Alessandro explains that his relationship with nascetta is one of hate and love.
He calls it quirky and complicated, in fact it requires a lot of attention: it should be planted in pots (just like flowers) and watered a lot.
He first experimented with this semi-aromatic vine in 2002, but it was not until 2012 that he decided to plant a vineyard of it.
He was one of the first to bet on this native variety, typical of the Langhe.
Sight
It is bright straw yellow, an important color.
Nose
The bouquet is delicate with notes of flowers, sage and thyme, which is enriched during bottle aging. You will also find it very mineral.
Taste
The sip is savory and fresh.
Pairing tips
Alessandro recommends it with a seafood dish. To be more specific, oysters go very well with the savoriness of this wine.
Avoid to pair it with: Barolo braised meat, Alessandro makes us laugh by confessing that this pairing would only be accepted in jail.
It’s your guy if…
…You are in the ocean, on a boat with friends.
