The first vintage of Barolo DOCG Riserva Cantina del Conte was released the year that Luca, Daniela’s son and Sergio’s grandson, graduated from oenological school.
It is no coincidence that this great wine marks the generational transition, from the company’s founders to the new generation.
A particular sign of this label is its great longevity, which gives you the chance to appreciate it over the years and grasp the nuances due to maturation.
Sight
The good colour intensity gives attractive garnet-red hues that last.
Nose
The bouquet is always intense, broad and persistent with hints of liquorice, mint and ripe fruit sensations. With time, ethereal notes develop with hints of resin and sweet spices.
Taste
The flavour is full and well-structured, characterised by acidity and tannicity, which tend to balance and evolve as the wine matures.
Pairing tips
We suggest you try it with chocolate: a great classic, always impressive.
Not to be paired with cold cuts.
It’s your guy if…
…You have a romantic spirit: this is a perfect wine to enjoy in the company of the person you love.
