Càllido is a good Piedmontese white wine and comes from a small vineyard of cortese grapes.
It is an independent product with a somewhat anarchic character that looks beyond the great reds of our regional tradition and frees itself from the need to fall under a specific denomination of origin.
An ingenious wine, witty as its name suggests, which takes an ancient word to describe a modern product.
Sight
It is a light straw yellow with brilliant green reflections.
Nose
Its bouquet is floral, marked by a typical spicy and slightly balsamic note.
Taste
The taste is delicately warm and rich in flavour. Hints of fresh fruit and oregano are perceptible.
Pairing tips
Excellent as an aperitif and during meals, it is the ideal companion for fish, white meat and legumes.
It pairs perfectly with traditional Piedmontese recipes such as vitello tonnato and truffle risotto.
Needless to say, you can indulge yourself here: from duck to tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, from spaghetti with clams to Sicilian tuna with capers and olives, you name it!
Serving temperature: maximum 5-6°C.
It’s your guy if…
…You are looking for a truly versatile, fresh and acidic wine.
