During the summer, Grandpa’s breakfasts always consisted of a good slice of salami and a glass of Barbera d’Alba.
Here, this is how we want to introduce you to this wine. No frills, capable of surprising even with the easiest of pairings.
Sight
The color is ruby red with garnet hues, which become more evident as the years go by.
Nose
The aroma is frank, delicate, vinous, intense and persistent.
Taste
It is warm, full, complex, dry and harmonious.
Pairing tips
We were talking about simplicity, well, try it with a good rustic Gorgonzola sandwich.
Avoid: most fresh fruit, but remember that peaches drowned in Barbera are just fine.
It’s your guy if…
…In the goblet you look for the call of fruitiness.
