All Cantina del Conte wines are special, but if you really have to choose, Barolo DOCG is a label that holds great value for the winery.
It is the most historic of their wines, to which Grandpa Sergio is particularly attached, so much so that since 1964 he has decided to dedicate this wine to each new birth in the family: sons, daughters, nieces and nephews!
And so it is that, in his cellar, you find displayed his collection of very precious vintages. Rare pearls from an enological point of view, loaded with unparalleled sentimental value.
He jealously guards them, so they will forever be there (and never for sale), to be proudly shown to every visitor.
Sight
The color is garnet red with reflections that become more intense as the years go by.
Nose
The aroma is broad and persistent, warm and delicate scents prevail.
Taste
You find it austere, thanks to the presence of sweet, complex tannins.
Pairing tips
In addition to classic game dishes, we love to pair it with truffles. Also try it in the sweet variant, with hazelnut cake.
Avoid foods marked by a strong acidic or spicy note. One example? Oysters.
It’s your guy if…
…You love wines characterized by a tannic, austere and elegant note.
